Shareholders of Access Holdings Plc have approved a total dividend payout of ₦125.29 billion for the 2024 financial year, representing a 67% increase from the ₦74.6 billion distributed in 2023.

The approval was confirmed during the company’s 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Lagos, following a regulatory filing with the Nigerian Exchange Group.

Group Chairman, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, said the robust earnings and growth trajectory enabled the Board to declare a final dividend of ₦2.05 per 50 kobo ordinary share, bringing the total dividend for 2024 to ₦2.50 per share.

“Our 2024 performance underscores the strength of our balance sheet and strategic resilience,” Aig-Imoukhuede stated. “Our ₦351 billion capital raise through a rights issue has also significantly bolstered our capital base, enabling us to meet the new ₦500 billion minimum capital threshold set by the Central Bank of Nigeria.”

Acting Group CEO, Bolaji Agbede, thanked shareholders for supporting the rights issue and confirmed plans to deliver an interim dividend of ₦1.00 per share within the year. She also highlighted the group’s growing focus on sustainability, noting that over 15,000 individuals had been impacted by initiatives in northern Nigeria alone.

Access Bank CEO, Roosevelt Ogbonna, said the group’s 2024 performance reflected the resilience of its operations and commitment to creating long-term value.
