First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has expanded its reach with the inauguration of a new branch in Ogbomoso, aimed at enhancing financial inclusion and economic development in the region.
Located along the Ogbomoso-Ilorin road, the branch was officially opened on March 12, 2025, in a ceremony attended by local leaders and community representatives.
The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, welcomed the development, noting that FCMB’s presence would spur local business growth.
“This marks a pivotal moment for our town. We anticipate that FCMB’s innovative approach will provide our citizens and businesses with vital financial services, aligning with our 25-year development plan. We look forward to future collaborations and the possibility of additional branches,” the monarch stated.
Seun Ojo, Chairman of Ogo-Oluwa Local Government, echoed similar sentiments, describing the new branch as a crucial step toward strengthening financial inclusion across Ogbomoso and urging the bank to extend its services to more communities.
FCMB’s Managing Director, Mrs. Yemisi Edun, represented at the event by National Head of Sales, Mr. Emmanuel Comla, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to inclusive growth.
“We’re excited to invest in Ogbomoso’s future. The city is known for its industrious spirit, and under Kabiyesi Olaoye’s leadership, it has a clear 25-year growth plan. We are proud to be part of that vision,” Edun stated.
She emphasized that while digital banking continues to transform the industry, physical branches remain vital for ensuring accessibility and fostering economic growth.
FCMB’s Group Head of Operations and International Trade Services, Mr. Ademola Idowu, highlighted the branch’s modern banking technology and renewable energy-powered infrastructure, noting its role in supporting business and trade expansion in Ogbomoso and surrounding areas.
As a subsidiary of FCMB Group, the bank continues to drive financial services that promote economic inclusion and sustainable development.
