Fidelity Bank Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to education and community development with the donation of a renovated classroom block and educational materials to Aso Pada Government Secondary School in Mararaba, Nasarawa State.
The intervention, driven by the bank’s Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP), was executed by the “Elite Bankers” class of newly inducted staff. FHHP allows staff to identify and fund community projects, with financial matching from the bank.
At the handover ceremony, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head, Brand and Communications, stated that the initiative aligns with the bank’s focus on quality education and youth empowerment.
“The school had not been renovated in over 15 years. Through the efforts of our Elite Bankers and support from the bank, we have been able to make this positive impact,” Nwagboh said.
Vice Principal of the school, Abdullahi Idris, expressed gratitude to the bank and described the gesture as an investment in Nigeria’s future.
Fidelity Bank has been active in education-focused CSR projects, including a recent donation of 1,000 school bags with solar-powered lamps to students across Ogun State.
The bank serves over 9.1 million customers and has been recognised with numerous awards, including “Best Bank for SMEs” and “Excellence in Digital Transformation” at the 2024 BAFI Awards and Euromoney Awards.
