Olubadan Congratulates Oba Ladoja on 80th Birthday

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the former Governor of Oyo State and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, on the occasion of his 80th birthday. The monarch praised Ladoja as a “worthy son of Ibadanland” for his lifelong contributions to the city, the state, and Nigeria.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Gbenga Ayoade, from the state capital, Ibadan, Oba Olakulehin commended Ladoja’s dedication and expressed gratitude to God for granting him the grace to celebrate such a milestone.

“On behalf of the Olubadan-In-Council, the good people, and residents of Ibadanland, I recognize, celebrate, and salute your service to Ibadanland and the state. You are a worthy son and ambassador of Ibadanland, and we are proud of your noble achievements in your eight decades on earth,” the statement read.

The monarch also offered prayers for Ladoja, wishing him continued health and prosperity. “May the Almighty bless you with many more years in good health and wealth to continue your service to humanity.”

Oba Olakulehin further lauded Ladoja’s commitment to peace, unity, and the preservation of Ibadan’s cultural heritage. He used the occasion to call on traditional titleholders, indigenes, and residents of Ibadan to maintain peaceful coexistence, which he described as essential for the city’s growth and development across all sectors.
