President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays. The President’s jet touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport at 3:23 PM.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed the arrival in a statement, noting that the President was received by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Dr. Femi Hamzat, members of the state executive council, and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Earlier in the day, President Tinubu presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly, proposing a ₦47.9 trillion budget tagged the “Restoration Budget.” During his 30-minute address, the President highlighted key allocations, including ₦4.91 trillion for defence and security, ₦4.06 trillion for infrastructure, ₦3.5 trillion for education, and ₦2.4 trillion for health.
Speaking to lawmakers, Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to addressing critical national issues, including security, economic stability, and social development.
