Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has stirred controversy after hinting at a romantic relationship with Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru.
This revelation comes in the wake of speculation surrounding his reported separation from his wife, actress Annie Idibia. The singer further fueled discussions after making a surprise appearance at the Edo State House of Assembly during plenary on Monday, shortly after a video of him and Osawaru at a Lagos nightclub surfaced online.
2Baba Addresses Rumors
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, 2Baba addressed the swirling allegations in a cryptic video post captioned, “To Whom It May Kwansighn. #I don yarn my truth. Feel free to continue alleging. We shall all be alright.”
In the video, he dismissed claims that Osawaru played any role in his marital troubles.
“I have been seeing so many things, so many people coming up with their own false narratives and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff that I posted. Yes, I posted what I posted,” he said.
He continued, “Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labeled a homebreaker. She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage.”
The singer, however, went on to declare his admiration for the lawmaker.
“Yes, I love her. She is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her,” he stated.
