FirstBank, West Africa’s leading financial institution, is set to host its 6th annual Fintech Summit on November 13 and 14, 2024. Themed “Banking on Partnerships,” this year’s summit will gather top industry experts, innovators, and leaders from around the world to discuss the latest advancements and trends shaping financial technology.
Launched in 2016, the FirstBank Fintech Summit has become a premier event for fintech and digital innovation, attracting top-tier participants both from Nigeria and internationally. After moving online in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s summit will be hosted in a hybrid format, allowing global participants to engage with the lineup of distinguished speakers and sessions both in-person and virtually.
A central feature of the summit will be the introduction of the Fintech Innovators Pitch Programme, which aims to support early-stage fintech startups in driving innovation within the financial services sector. Selected startups will gain access to training and mentorship, culminating in an opportunity to pitch their solutions to FirstBank, prominent investors, and industry leaders. Winning startups will receive strategic support from FirstBank, including guidance, resources, and a pathway to market access.
The two-day event promises a diverse lineup of sessions and invaluable networking opportunities. Attendees can expect keynote addresses, panel discussions, regulatory and investor roundtables, fireside chats, and masterclasses.
Among the speakers is Emmanuel Daniel, founder of TAB Global and notable for his work with The Asian Banker and Wealth and Society, who will deliver a keynote address. Other distinguished guests include Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director and CEO of FirstBank Group, Dr. Markie Idowu, GMD/CEO of Xpress Payment Solutions Limited, and DeRemi Atanda, Managing Director of Remita. Additional speakers comprise industry thought leaders from Bankly, ZONE, Network International, Interswitch Group, SemiColon, Carbon, and ProduqtEdge.
The FirstBank Fintech Summit 6.0 is expected to be a landmark gathering for fintech professionals, fostering conversations that will drive forward the future of digital finance.
