The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6 and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government. He congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the world, urging them to embrace the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).
Dr. Tunji-Ojo also encouraged Muslims to use the festive period to pray for national peace, unity, and prosperity. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to implementing reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable progress.
Wishing the Muslim community a joyous Eid-ul-Adha celebration, the Minister called on all citizens to support the current administration’s efforts in building a more prosperous and united Nigeria.
