The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State has extended an invitation to Governor Dauda Lawal and other credible politicians to join its ranks ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking to journalists in Gusau on Friday, ADC State Chairman Kabiru Garba revealed that over 100 individuals had defected to the party from various political backgrounds in the past 10 days, calling it a significant boost to the party’s credibility and momentum.
“As I am speaking now, over 100 members from various political parties have so far defected to the ADC in Zamfara within the last ten days,” Garba said.
He added that the party expects further defections from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), emphasizing the ADC’s openness to politicians of integrity and vision.
“We are appealing to credible politicians with good records to join us. All we need is credibility,” Garba said, stressing that the ADC is positioned as a reform-driven alternative ready to address both state and national development challenges.
Garba further noted that the ADC’s state leadership remains strong and focused, with a well-structured manifesto designed to meet the needs of Zamfara’s citizens.
“We are capable and ready to lead this party to success in 2027. Our manifesto is development-oriented and aligned with the interests of both the state and the nation,” he said.
He concluded by stating that the ADC would be pleased to welcome Governor Dauda Lawal if he chose to defect, describing the party as a platform for visionary leadership and positive change.
