The UBA Foundation, corporate social responsibility arm of United Bank for Africa Plc, has donated food and relief materials to orphanages and vulnerable groups in Lagos as part of its charity outreach programme.
Beneficiaries included So-Said Charity Homes Community and SOS Children’s Village, where elderly residents, children, and other vulnerable individuals received bags of rice, beans, and other essentials.
UBA’s Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, said the initiative reflects the Foundation’s commitment to giving back to communities and supporting the most vulnerable.
CEO of So-Said Charity Homes, Felicia Martins, and Programme Director of SOS Children’s Village, Ayodeji Adelopo, both expressed gratitude, noting that the donations would provide significant relief.
UBA Foundation’s Managing Director/CEO, Bola Atta, reaffirmed the organisation’s mission to uplift communities through education, empowerment, environmental initiatives, and other impactful programmes.
The Foundation, known for its philanthropic activities across Africa, has implemented various projects ranging from educational scholarships to healthcare and poverty alleviation initiatives.
