The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of petrol to N835 per litre, marking its third price cut this December. The move, confirmed by a survey of Abuja filling stations on Thursday, lowers the price from N915 per litre, reflecting a reduction of N80.
The latest adjustment follows similar cuts by independent marketers, including MRS, BOVAS, and AA Rano, whose retail prices now range between N739 and N865 per litre across the Federal Capital Territory.
Industry analysts attribute the downward revisions to falling ex-depot prices, following reductions by Dangote Refinery and depot operators, which now charge between N699 and N800 per litre.
NNPCL had previously lowered fuel prices on December 4 and December 10, 2025, as competitive pressures and supply dynamics continue to influence the downstream oil sector.
