Kaduna Police Strengthen Security Ahead of Eid-el-Fitr

By Ayomide Otitoju

The Kaduna State Police Command has implemented heightened security measures across the state ahead of the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, assuring residents of a safe and peaceful festive period.

In a Wednesday statement, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, said tactical commanders, intelligence operatives, and other personnel have been stationed at strategic locations, including Eid prayer grounds, markets, recreational centres, and major highways. The deployment aims to prevent security breaches before, during, and after the festivities.

State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, reiterated the Command’s commitment to a hitch-free celebration and urged residents to cooperate with security agencies.

The police also issued safety advisories, including a strict ban on the use of knockouts, fireworks, and other explosives during the festivities. Parents and guardians were warned to prevent children from engaging in such activities, with violators subject to arrest and prosecution.

Members of the public were urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons, movements, or objects to the nearest police station or security agency.

CP Muhammad congratulated Muslim faithful on completing the Ramadan fast and prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity in Kaduna State and across Nigeria, wishing residents a joyful and incident-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
