Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a visionary, loyal and dedicated public servant committed to Nigeria’s development.
Shettima will clock 60 on Wednesday, September 2.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor commended the Vice President’s contributions to politics and governance, as well as his commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
Sanwo-Olu described Shettima as a reliable, competent and selfless leader who had distinguished himself in both private and public service.
He noted that Shettima had a successful career as a lecturer and banker before entering politics and subsequently serving Borno State as commissioner and governor, as well as representing Borno Central in the Senate.
The governor said Shettima’s vision aligned with Tinubu’s efforts to promote economic stability, social development and political cohesion.
“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, family, the government and the entire people of Lagos State, as well as leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress in our dear state, I congratulate Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He prayed for Shettima’s continued good health and wisdom as he serves the country.
