NNPC, Indonesia Strengthen Energy Partnership

Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and Indonesia have moved to strengthen bilateral energy cooperation following a meeting between officials of both countries in Abuja.

The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd., Bashir Bayo Ojulari, received an Indonesian delegation led by the country’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arif Havas Oegroseno.

The meeting focused on expanding Nigeria-Indonesia energy relations, with both sides expressing commitment to developing a comprehensive and mutually beneficial partnership.

Represented by the Executive Vice President, Gas, Power and New Energy, Olalekan Ogunleye, Ojulari highlighted investment opportunities across Nigeria’s integrated energy value chain, including upstream operations, gas, refining, downstream activities, power and renewable energy.

The Indonesian delegation expressed interest in securing long-term crude oil supply arrangements and investing in Nigerian oil and gas assets, including new blocks and existing producing and near-producing projects.

The discussions also covered potential cooperation in shipping, logistics, technical training and capacity development.
