NNPC Retail has commissioned its first technology-powered self-service smart station along Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, Abuja, as part of efforts to modernise its retail operations.
Speaking at the commissioning, Executive Vice President, Downstream, NNPC Ltd., Dr Mumuni Dagazau, said the facility reflected the company’s commitment to innovation, convenience, operational efficiency and improved customer experience.
Dagazau commended the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for providing the land and supporting the partnership that facilitated the project.
Managing Director of NNPC Retail, Huub Stokman, said the facility reflected changing consumer expectations in Nigeria’s downstream sector, particularly the demand for quality, convenience, speed and reliable services.
The 24-hour station allows customers to dispense fuel independently and purchase their preferred quantity. It also features electric vehicle charging points, an automated car wash, lubricant service bay and LPG dispensing facilities.
Stokman said the station would further expand its energy offerings to include compressed natural gas (CNG).
The commissioning marks a new phase in NNPC Retail’s plan to transform conventional filling stations into smart energy, mobility and lifestyle centres across Nigeria.
