In many ways, a lot of things make a person’s life memorable, among which are beauty, love, family, achievements and humanitarianism and service to mankind. Of these though, humanitarianism and service to mankind are perhaps the most fulfilling, which is why on Sunday , October 24, the Lions club of Gbagada Jasmine , District 404A1 celebrated in grand style the investiture ceremony of Lion Ada Okorie as the 8th President of the club.
The well-attended event, which took place at Quad –T- Event Centre Gbagada, Lagos also saw the induction of board members for the 2021-2022 year and also raised funds for the club’s humanitarian projects.
The chief host of the event, Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma District Governor in her address welcomed the new president and promised and called the members to continue support to the club to make her tenure a success. She further added that Lions clubs all over the world commands respect, and it is a worthy cause to be part of. She further implored all in attendance to continually support Lions club with much-needed funds.
Also present at the event was the special guest of honour , District Governor 404B2 Lion Olatunbosun Okpeseyi, First Vice District Governor 404A1,Lion Ano Anyanwu ; alongside senior Lions clubs members , Lion Felicia Obilo.
An exemplary member of the club, Lion Ada Okorie is a woman whose deed as a humanitarian precedes her emergence as president. She is known as a humanitarian. In preparation for a life of service to humanity, Okorie is a banker and with many training courses in University.
