The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has addressed media reports concerning the ongoing trial of Mr. Nnamdi Emeh, who is facing charges for alleged criminal offenses.

In a statement, the NPF explained that Mr. Emeh was lawfully apprehended following credible allegations against him. These claims were thoroughly investigated and subsequently brought before the Federal High Court in Awka, where he was arraigned in accordance with due legal process.

The NPF emphasized the judiciary’s independence, noting that the court holds the sole authority to assess evidence, set bail conditions, and make further decisions. Mr. Emeh was granted bail under terms established by the court, and it is his responsibility to meet those conditions rather than resort to public outcry.

Reiterating its commitment to the rule of law and justice, the NPF assured the public of its dedication to professionalism and impartiality. It also stressed its duty to investigate all allegations, including those involving its personnel, and to ensure every case follows the legal process.

The Force urged the public to respect the judicial process and refrain from undue speculation or interference while Mr. Emeh’s case proceeds in court. It further called on media outlets and stakeholders to report responsibly, allowing the legal system to determine the outcome.

The NPF reaffirmed its unwavering resolve to enforce the law impartially and safeguard the rights of all Nigerians, as enshrined in the Constitution.
