In a bid to enhance science education and foster innovation among young Nigerians, the NNPC Foundation has commenced the nationwide donation of 25,000 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) books and bookshelves to secondary schools across the country.
The flag-off ceremony was held on Thursday at the School for The Gifted in Gwagwalada, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, with donations set to continue in 25 selected secondary schools nationwide.
Speaking during the event, Managing Director of the NNPC Foundation, Emmanuella Arukwe, emphasized that the initiative reflects the organization’s unwavering commitment to empowering future generations through education. She noted that the program aims to ignite interest in STEM fields and cultivate a new generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators poised to contribute to Nigeria’s technological and economic development.
