The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has refuted claims circulating in a video that shows a person pouring a dark liquid purported to be Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) allegedly purchased from an NNPC Retail outlet at Keffi Flyover. NNPC clarified that an investigation of all its outlets confirmed the claim to be false, emphasizing that the company does not dispense petroleum products into bottles or jerrycans, as displayed in the footage.
In a statement, NNPC underscored its commitment to rigorous quality control standards, stating, “NNPC Retail Ltd does not deal in adulterated products. Our operations prioritize high-quality, safe, and reliable petroleum products across our stations nationwide.”
NNPC urged the public to disregard the “spurious claims” in the video and to remain cautious of individuals spreading misleading narratives. The company assured consumers of its strict adherence to pump integrity through regular inspections and calibration, maintaining consistent service across all its stations nationwide.
