Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has paid tribute to mothers across the country, describing them as “unsung heroes” whose sacrifices and dedication shape the future of the nation.
In a statement marking Mother’s Day, Tinubu praised the pivotal role of mothers as the heart of families, nurturers of children, and pillars of society.
“You are the unsung heroes, and your impact resonates far beyond what words can describe,” she said.
The First Lady emphasized that the future of Nigeria and the world depends on the values, wisdom, and love instilled in the next generation by mothers.
“On this special occasion, I celebrate all mothers—their sacrifices, dedication, and commitment to raising the next generation is truly inspiring. Today, I honour every mother across Nigeria—those who care tirelessly for their families, balance work and home, and continue to give their best despite challenges,” she added.
Tinubu’s message comes as a reaffirmation of her administration’s commitment to women’s empowerment and family welfare, recognizing the essential role mothers play in nation-building and societal progress.
