A chartered accountant, Omoniyi Osunsanya , the pioneer Managing Director of Unique CFO Limited and a former Finance Director at MediaReach OMD, a member of the Omnicom Group, has emerged the 5th Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Mowe & District Society of Ogun state.
Osunsanya and the other Executive Committee Members for the 2022/2023 Chairmanship year were sworn in over the weekend at the Redemption Resort, Redemption Camp, Mowe, Ogun State.
Before his emergence, he has held various positions at ICAN, Mowe & District Society. He was the former District Vice- Chairman, 2020 – 2022, General Secretary, 2018 – 2020, Assistant General Secretary, 2016- 2018, and served under various committees all in a bid to move the association forward.
At the Institute level, he was also a Member, Mutual Cooperation Agreement with Tertiary Institutions (MCATI), 2014, Resource Person at the 44th AAT Induction Ceremony, 2016, and a Member, ATSWA Examinations Committee, 2018.
Osunsanya is a graduate of Accounting from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, and holds a Master’s degree (with distinction) in Investments from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School, Senior Management Programme 48. He is the class president and a member of the Alumni Governing Council.
He started his career at Westex Motors Nigeria Ltd in 1995, he moved to Integrated Wireless Technologies in 1998 following his success in ATS exams and joined Custodian & Allied Insurance Limited after becoming a Chartered Accountant in 2002 to set up and head the Credit Control Unit.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of One Care One Initiatives, an NGO that support the welfare of motherless and abandoned children in the society, with a major focus on orphanage homes. He is also on the Board of Trustees of Professional Accountant Students Christian Fellowship (PASCF) which later became Professional Accountants Christian Ministry (PACM) in 1997 till date.
He is a regular speaker at conferences and camp meetings organized by this ministry. He is currently a Pastor and a member of the Central Executive Council of Highland Church, a fast-growing and impactful global church in the heart of Lagos.
