Stanbic IBTC Bank, a member of Standard Bank Group, has emerged as a double winner at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025, clinching titles for Best Bank for Securities Services and Best Bank for SMEs in Nigeria.
The awards recognize Stanbic IBTC’s commitment to operational excellence and tailored financial services. The Securities Services award reflects its top-tier custodial capabilities for institutional clients, while the SME accolade highlights its ongoing support for small and medium-sized businesses across the country.
Chief Executive Wole Adeniyi said the SME recognition is particularly meaningful: “It reflects our unwavering commitment to empowering Nigerian entrepreneurs with both financial and non-financial support.” He added that the securities award underscores clients’ trust in the bank’s infrastructure and expertise.
Parent company Standard Bank Group secured 26 awards across 14 markets, further cementing its leadership across Africa.
The Euromoney Awards for Excellence, established in 1992, are among the most respected in global finance.
