As a way of promoting healthy living and improved well-being of Nigerians , Chi Limited, Nigeria’s foremost diary manufacturer, says it is set to mark the annual World Juice Day.
The company’s Marketing Director, Mrs Toyin Nnodi, said this in a statement on Wednesday, in Abuja.
Nnodi said that the 2021 edition of the World Juice Day, the third in the series, would hold on Oct.17, urging consumers to take steps to improve their well-being.
She added that the advent of COVID-19 had made it imperative for Nigerians to show increasing interest in their health.
“In recent times, health and well-being have emerged as key focus for consumers.
“More importantly in the COVID-19 era, emphasis has shifted to adjusting to the new normal. This has meant adapting and taking control by embracing proactive health and wellness routines.
It is in this circumstance that Chivita World Juice Day 2021 is taking place.
“This year’s edition, which is the third in the series will hold on Oct. 17, and highlight the increasing need for consumers to take practical steps to be in control of their well-being,” she said.
She added that the theme for this year, “Fruit Juice: Powering My Health My Way” was designed to encourage consumers to be involved in taking steps in lifestyle modifications.
“It will also encourage consumers on self-awareness and choosing to consume food and drinks that enhance daily nutrition.
“They can do that by actively including fruit juices to boost their health and well-being, but most importantly, achieving this on their own terms.
“The conference will be a hybrid of Physical and Virtual event of Presentations and Panelist discussions with respected nutritionist’s health experts sharing insights on the benefits of including fruit juices in your daily health routine.
“It will also feature engaging sessions with tips, ideas and new exciting recipes of smoothies, mocktails, mixes, and blends with Chivita brands through videos, thereby making these contents sharable,” she said.
Nnodi added that the event challenges consumers to take control of their health and wellness by deliberately making fruit juices a part of their daily health routine.
“We are providing a platform of information for discerning consumers to create and enjoy on their own terms with fruit juice mixtures, fruit juice mocktails, fruit juice and smoothies for daily health and wellness,” she said.
