Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as she celebrates her 64th birthday. He described her as a compassionate and kind-hearted leader, as well as a steadfast pillar of support for President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Senator Tinubu’s significant contributions to both public and private life, noting her positive impact on many lives throughout her journey, particularly women.
“On behalf of the government and people of Lagos State, and my dear wife, Ibijoke, I warmly congratulate Senator Oluremi Tinubu on her 64th birthday,” Sanwo-Olu said. “She is a leader who has demonstrated quality and selfless service to our state and country, in both her private and public roles.”
The governor lauded her tenure as Lagos State’s First Lady and her impressive three-term service in the Senate, where she championed social justice and supported the underprivileged. Sanwo-Olu also highlighted her ongoing initiatives as Nigeria’s First Lady, including the “Renewed Hope Initiative,” which aims to uplift families across the nation.
“Senator Tinubu has consistently advocated for the welfare of women and children through various empowerment projects and remains a strong ambassador for Lagos State,” Sanwo-Olu said, adding that her influence extends beyond the state to the national stage.
The governor concluded by offering prayers for the First Lady’s continued health and strength, expressing confidence that she will continue to serve Nigeria and humanity with dedication.
