Fearless Energy Drink, a brand of Rite Foods Limited, has celebrated emerging musical talents and creative expression at the grand finale of Felabration 2026, where artistes and music lovers gathered to honour the legacy of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

Held at the New Afrika Shrine in Lagos, the week-long festival was themed “Who Are You?” and featured musical performances, rap battles, dance challenges and other activities celebrating African music and culture.

The theme aligned with Fearless Energy Drink’s “I CAN, I AM” philosophy, which encourages individuality, self-belief and confident self-expression.

As the festival’s official energy drink, Fearless engaged music lovers, young creatives and entertainment enthusiasts through talent-driven activities designed to provide emerging performers with opportunities to showcase their abilities.

The rap and dance challenges offered young talents a platform to demonstrate their skills, with outstanding participants rewarded with prizes.

Emerging artistes, including Emgray, Wonka, Kacy, 62d9, General Allen, Tademonaco, Ziggy Machala, Fome Green and Blacksnow, performed at the grand finale, delivering rap, hip-hop and Afrobeats sounds to the audience.

Established performers also entertained festivalgoers, with Fela’s eldest son, Femi Kuti, delivering a live performance that featured prominently in the closing celebrations.

Highlife and Afrobeats singer Kcee thrilled the audience with a stage presentation featuring traditional masquerades, while Small Doctor, Teni the Entertainer, Sean Tizzle, L.A.X, Barry Jhay and Danny S also featured among the performers.

The excitement had built up on Saturday, October 17, with performances by Daddy Showkey, Peruzzi, L.A.X, Barry Jhay and Hotkeed, among others.

A cultural fashion showcase by AO Afriq at Freedom Park also highlighted African creativity and contemporary cultural expression during the festival.

Beyond the performances, the Fearless Energy Drink stand provided a meeting point for guests and artistes to interact with the brand and explore its product portfolio.

The company also highlighted its product innovation, including its introduction of an energy drink packaged in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles.

Speaking on the brand’s participation, Brand Manager, Fearless Energy Drink at Rite Foods Limited, Olaniyi Aderuku, said Felabration provided an opportunity to connect the brand with a cultural movement built around originality, courage and creative expression.

“Fearless is built around the spirit of ‘I CAN, I AM’—believing in yourself, owning your individuality and having the confidence to express who you are. Felabration embodies much of that spirit. Fela was unapologetically himself, and through his music, he challenged conventions and encouraged people to stand by their convictions. Supporting a festival that celebrates this legacy while providing a platform for emerging talents is a natural fit for Fearless,” Aderuku said.

He added that the brand remained committed to engaging consumers through experiences that reflect their interests and cultural passions, particularly initiatives that give young people opportunities to express themselves and pursue their creative ambitions.

Fearless Energy Drink’s participation in Felabration builds on its previous involvement in the festival. In 2021, the brand presented a posthumous award to Fela at the Afrika Shrine in recognition of his courage, originality and contribution to African music.

In 2025, Fearless served as the festival’s exclusive energy drink sponsor under its “Shakara, No Fear” campaign, using talent challenges to showcase emerging performers.

Through its continued association with Felabration, the brand is seeking to strengthen its connection with music, youth culture and self-expression.

The 2026 edition concluded with a celebration of Fela’s musical legacy and the creativity of a new generation of performers, reinforcing the festival’s message of individuality and the courage to stand out.
