Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers is set to make a significant impact at ART X Lagos 2024 as it sponsors West Africa’s premier international art fair for the ninth consecutive year, running from October 31 to November 3. As a subsidiary of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc and member of the Standard Bank Group, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers continues to invest in Nigeria’s cultural enrichment, financial literacy, and arts advancement.
This year’s collaboration introduces “Mark Makers: Unsung Pioneers,” a curated exhibition honoring influential yet often uncelebrated Nigerians whose contributions to the arts, education, and innovation have shaped the nation’s legacy. Figures like Jonathan Adagogo Green, Nigeria’s first professional photographer, and Nana Asma’u, an advocate for women’s education, are celebrated for their pioneering spirit and lasting cultural influence.

The exhibit, curated by Missla Libsekal and Fikayo Adebajo, with historical consultancy by Ed Keazor, seeks to connect Nigeria’s cultural heritage to modern expression, fostering an appreciation for creativity’s enduring power.
