At a press conference in Lagos on Wednesday, Promo Committee Chairman Ken Opara highlighted that the campaign supports the bank’s commitment to financial inclusion and encourages a savings culture among Nigerians.
“For six years, we have been dedicated to promoting financial inclusion and helping Nigerians achieve their financial goals through the GAIM promo. This initiative has changed lives, enabling winners to pay off debts, fund education, and invest in businesses,” Opara said.
He noted that the success of previous editions, which created multiple millionaires, motivated the bank to increase the prize pool this year to N159 million. Both new and existing customers can participate, with a focus on promoting financial discipline and sustainability.
Opara also mentioned that the promo is regulated by the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, and the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority. The initiative will run for several months, with updates through roadshows and community outreach programs.
Osita Ede, Divisional Head of Product Development at Fidelity Bank, emphasized that the GAIM promo goes beyond prize-winning, offering financial advisory services to help winners manage and grow their earnings.
“We are committed to your financial success and are proud to be your trusted financial partner,” Ede stated, expressing gratitude to regulators, sponsors, and Fidelity Bank customers.
The bank is encouraging Nigerians to participate by opening new savings accounts or maintaining their existing ones for a chance to win.
