By Ayomide Otitoju

Polaris Bank has reaffirmed its dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences and fostering deeper partnerships through strategic engagement. This commitment was highlighted during its recently held Global Trade Forum in Ibadan, which brought together key stakeholders, business leaders, and customers from across the South-West region to explore growth opportunities and strengthen collaborations.

The well-attended forum featured top Polaris Bank executives, including Executive Director, Retail and Commercial Banking, Chris Ofikulu, who expressed appreciation to attendees for their continued trust and partnership.

“Your presence here today reflects the strong bond and confidence you share with Polaris Bank,” Ofikulu stated in his opening remarks. “This forum reinforces our mission to deepen customer relationships and ensure that you experience Polaris Bank not just as a financial institution, but as a true partner in your success.”

Ofikulu noted that the event coincided with the Customer Service Week, emphasizing the Bank’s commitment to celebrating customer loyalty and fostering two-way engagement that drives innovation and service excellence.

Also speaking, Bukola Oluyadi, Group Head, Customer Experience and Value Management, reiterated the Bank’s dedication to understanding client needs and empowering businesses. “Our mission is to be your preferred partner in growth. We are here to listen, learn, and support your enterprise through tailored financial solutions,” she said.

The forum featured key presentations, including Ayo Adesanya, Acting Divisional Head, Operations, who highlighted the Bank’s trade facilitation services, assuring customers of simplified processes and cost-effective payment solutions.

In his keynote address, Anthony Anichebe, Sector Lead, Agric Exports, Manufacturing, and General Commerce, underscored the importance of exports to Nigeria’s economic diversification and detailed how Polaris Bank provides specialized financing for exporters.

Olayemi Agbe Davies, Head of Treasury, provided an optimistic outlook on Nigeria’s economy, noting improvements in oil production, easing inflation, and rising reserves — all of which position businesses for growth with Polaris Bank’s treasury and trade finance support.

Additionally, Olaleye Arinola, Trade Services Officer, discussed the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS) — an innovation that enables businesses to make cross-border payments in local currencies, reducing conversion costs and boosting intra-African trade.

The event provided a valuable platform for dialogue, networking, and knowledge sharing between Polaris Bank and its customers. The Bank reaffirmed its pledge to continue empowering clients with innovative financial solutions and world-class service to help them thrive in the global marketplace.
