Coronation Registrars Limited, a subsidiary of Coronation Group, has partnered with the Lagos State Blood Transfusion Committee (LSBTC) to conduct a one-day blood donation drive, recording over 80 employee donors at the Coronation Group Plaza in Lagos.
The exercise, held as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) agenda, aimed to support Lagos State’s critical blood supply needs and advance Coronation’s broader health and sustainability commitments. The initiative underscores the Group’s view that prosperity includes community well-being as well as financial growth.
According to the company, the blood drive delivered immediate social impact by helping to address national blood supply gaps, advancing its ESG and SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being) objectives, and strengthening internal culture through employee engagement. It also served to reinforce Coronation’s corporate reputation through visible community-focused action.
Blood donation remains a significant public health need in Nigeria, where a steady supply is essential for emergency response, surgeries, and treatment of medical conditions. With each donation capable of saving up to three lives, Coronation noted that the contributions made by its staff will benefit patients across Lagos healthcare facilities.
The drive was conducted in partnership with certified medical personnel, ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards. Donors underwent pre-screening procedures and received refreshments after completing the process.
“At Coronation, we believe in making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve,” said Oluseyi Owoturo, Chief Executive Officer of Coronation Registrars Limited. “This blood donation initiative reflects our values in action — saving lives, building community, and reinforcing our identity as a purpose-driven organisation. We are proud of our employees who stepped forward to contribute.”
Coronation Registrars Limited says it will continue to integrate social responsibility into its corporate strategy, emphasising that long-term prosperity for clients and communities requires investments in health and human development.
