Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated renowned journalist, Mr Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, on his appointment as Director of News at Television Continental (TVC).
Governor Sanwo-Olu described the appointment as well deserved, citing Kolade-Otitoju’s wealth of experience, professionalism and long-standing commitment to the media industry, particularly his years of service at TVC.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, the governor noted that Kolade-Otitoju is an award-winning journalist and seasoned media practitioner with over 30 years of experience, expressing confidence in his ability to excel in the new role.
“On behalf of my family, the government and the people of Lagos State, I congratulate Mr Babajide Kolade-Otitoju on his appointment as the Director of News of TVC. This appointment is well deserved, given his hard work and dedication to the media organisation,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He described Kolade-Otitoju, fondly known as BKO, as an inspiration and role model to journalists across the print and broadcast media, particularly staff of TVC Communications, where he has made significant contributions over the years.
