Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday apologised to neighbouring countries affected by Iranian attacks during the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
In a speech broadcast on state television, Pezeshkian expressed regret over strikes that hit areas in neighbouring states amid the escalating war.
“I apologise to the neighbouring countries that were attacked by Iran,” he said.
Despite the apology, the Iranian leader maintained a defiant stance toward Israel and the United States, insisting that Iran would never surrender to its adversaries.
“Iran’s enemies must take their wish for the unconditional surrender of the Iranian people to their graves,” Pezeshkian said.
The conflict began after Israel and the United States launched coordinated strikes on Iran on February 28, killing the country’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, and triggering a wider regional confrontation.
Since then, Iran has retaliated with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and U.S. interests across several countries in the Gulf region.
