As Nigeria marked this year’s Children’s Day celebration, many parents and guardians across Lagos organised family activities and outings to create memorable experiences for their children and grandchildren.

Speaking on how she planned to celebrate the day, Mrs. Akinbo Kate said she intended to take her children to Bokku Mart to buy snacks, drinks, and other items, while also taking photographs to make the occasion memorable.

Another parent, Mrs. Adebayo Toyin, said she planned to take her children to Justrite Mall for shopping before proceeding to a game centre for recreational activities and entertainment.

Mrs. Abiola Abiona, a grandmother, said she chose to celebrate the day by preparing meals for her grandchildren and family members ahead of their visit.

According to her, she also planned to take the children to Shoprite Mall later in the day to shop, take photographs, and enjoy the Children’s Day celebration together.

The celebrations reflected the importance many families place on spending quality time with children and creating lasting memories during the annual event dedicated to celebrating childhood and promoting children’s welfare.
