Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, on his 68th birthday.
Sanwo-Olu praised Ojelabi’s commitment to progressive values, describing his contributions to the APC and Lagos State as significant.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor described Ojelabi as a religious leader, politician and administrator who has played a key role in mobilising support for the APC and advancing development in the state.
Sanwo-Olu highlighted Ojelabi’s previous public service as a council chairman, commissioner and member of the House of Representatives, saying his experience had contributed to his effectiveness as the state’s APC chairman.
The governor said Ojelabi had worked with party leaders and members to sustain the APC’s political dominance in Lagos, where the party has governed for nearly three decades.
“Pastor Ojelabi has contributed significantly to our dear state and our party. He has served his community, the church, local government, constituency, Lagos and Nigeria in different capacities,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He also commended the APC chairman’s integrity, dedication and professionalism throughout his years in public service.
Sanwo-Olu, on behalf of his wife, Ibijoke, the Lagos State Government and residents, wished Ojelabi good health, happiness and continued success as he marks his 68th birthday.
