FirstBank Denies FirstMobile Security Breach

FirstBank has dismissed a voice message circulating on WhatsApp claiming that its FirstMobile application has been compromised.

In a statement, the bank described the message as false and misleading, assuring customers that the FirstMobile app remains secure and fully operational.

The bank said it continues to invest in information security infrastructure and cybersecurity measures to protect its digital banking channels.

FirstBank also assured customers that their funds remain safe and that its digital banking services are operating securely.

The bank urged customers and other stakeholders to disregard the message and avoid sharing unverified information that could cause unnecessary concern.

It advised customers to rely on FirstBank’s verified communication channels for accurate updates on its services.
