Polaris Bank to Mark 2026 Customer Service Week

By Ayomide Otitoju

Polaris Bank is set to join organisations worldwide in marking the 2026 Customer Service Week from October 5 to 9 under the theme, “The Extra Mile.”

The bank said the theme reflects its continued focus on customer experience and efforts to improve service delivery across its banking channels.

Polaris Bank said Customer Service Week also provides an opportunity to recognise employees who demonstrate strong customer service and reinforce a customer-focused culture across the organisation.

The bank has marked the annual event with different themes over the years, including “Dream Team” in 2020, “Team Service” in 2023 and “Mission: Possible” in 2025.

Polaris Bank said its focus on customer experience has also received external recognition. In the 2022 KPMG Customer Experience Survey, the bank was reported as the most improved bank in the retail segment, moving five places to sixth position.

Speaking ahead of the 2026 celebration, the Managing Director/CEO of Polaris Bank, Kayode Lawal, said customers remained central to the bank’s growth.

“Customers are at the heart of everything we do. Their feedback, trust and partnership challenge us to keep improving and delivering value every day,” Lawal said.

He added that Customer Service Week provides an opportunity to recognise the relationship with customers and reinforce the importance of service beyond expectations.

According to the bank, “The Extra Mile” reflects practical efforts such as responding faster to customer concerns, providing clearer information, simplifying processes and understanding customers’ needs.

The bank said the commitment extends across its branches, contact centre and digital platforms, including VULTe.

As part of the celebration, Polaris Bank plans to engage customers and recognise service champions through activities across its branches, digital channels and other customer touchpoints.

The bank will also use the occasion to gather customer feedback and strengthen the use of customer insights in improving service delivery.

Polaris Bank said it aims to make exceptional customer service an everyday practice rather than an annual initiative.
