JMG Commissions Hybrid Solar System for La Chaumiere

By Ayomide Otitoju

JMG Limited has commissioned an advanced hybrid solar power system for La Chaumiere Group, a leading multi-brand culinary and hospitality company in Nigeria.

The project is designed to provide reliable, sustainable and cost-efficient power for the group’s operations while reducing its dependence on diesel-powered generators.

La Chaumiere Group, which operates premium hospitality businesses spanning fine dining, Lebanese and Syrian cuisine, specialty coffee and handcrafted popsicle brands, partnered with JMG Solar to deploy the hybrid energy solution at its facility.

The installation comprises 133.12kWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity, 160kW of hybrid inverter capacity and 163.84kWh of high-voltage lithium battery storage.

According to JMG, the system was designed using load analysis conducted with Fluke Load Analyzer and PVsyst simulation software and is expected to generate about 210.86MWh of clean electricity annually.

The company said the installation would meet a significant portion of the group’s daily energy needs while supporting uninterrupted operations.

JMG also projected that the system would reduce diesel consumption by about 57,000 litres annually, resulting in more than ₦102 million in estimated yearly fuel savings and preventing over 76 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

The project features LONGi solar modules, Deye hybrid inverters and Deye high-voltage lithium battery storage to support energy management, backup power and operational efficiency.

Speaking on the project, JMG’s Head of Solar Division, Hussein Abbas, said reliable power was essential to hospitality businesses seeking to maintain consistent customer experiences.

“Our partnership with La Chaumiere Group demonstrates how intelligent hybrid energy systems can dramatically reduce operating costs while providing the reliability and sustainability modern businesses require,” Abbas said.

JMG said the project further demonstrates its capacity to deliver turnkey hybrid energy solutions for businesses where reliable power, operational efficiency and long-term cost savings are critical.

The company added that it would continue to support businesses in reducing energy costs, improving energy security and advancing their sustainability goals through renewable energy technologies.
