Big Brother Naija Season 11 winner, Temi Nkem, has taken delivery of a Hyundai SUV and a ₦90 million cash prize, forming part of her ₦160 million grand prize package.
The handover took place on Tuesday at the MultiChoice studio in Lagos, two days after the 21-year-old was crowned winner of the “Show Ya Sef” edition of the reality TV show.
Temi arrived at the prize presentation in a navy-blue gown, accompanied by fellow Season 11 housemates Aikou, Tram, Bluethopia, Araga, Oyin, Chimsom, Bells and Yusuf.
Representatives of the show’s sponsors presented the new Hyundai SUV to Temi, who later posed for photographs with the vehicle and its keys.
The cash component of the prize was presented to her as a ₦90 million cheque, while the SUV was the major physical prize handed over during the ceremony.
Temi expressed gratitude to God, her family and her supporters, particularly members of her fanbase known as the “Teminators”.
She also thanked viewers who voted for her during the 70-day competition, adding that she already had plans to invest her cash prize.
Temi emerged winner at Sunday’s grand finale after securing 25.87 per cent of the final votes. Aikou finished as first runner-up with 23.68 per cent, while Sheba placed second runner-up with 9.80 per cent.
Her victory made her the fifth female winner in the history of Big Brother Naija, following Mercy Eke, Phyna, Ilebaye and Imisi.
The win brought an end to 10 weeks of competition involving 24 housemates and marked by evictions, alliances, confrontations, relationships and several twists.
Temi’s journey through the competition included a fake eviction, BB Bucks drama and relationships with fellow housemates, while her diary-room appearances and repeated survival of nominations kept her among the season’s prominent contestants.
The official prize package was valued at ₦160 million andincluded the ₦90 million cash prize, the new Hyundai SUV and other sponsored prizes.
