Dangote Cement Plc has reported strong financial results for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, with earnings per share (EPS) rising by an impressive 164.8 percent from ₦16.55 to ₦43.80 — underscoring the company’s sustained growth and operational strength.

According to the financial statement released by the company, group revenue climbed by 23.2 percent to ₦3,154.8 billion from ₦2,560.6 billion in the same period of 2024, while Group EBITDA rose 57.7 percent to ₦1,428.2 billion. Profit after tax (PAT) also soared by 166.3 percent, reaching ₦743.3 billion compared to ₦279.1 billion a year earlier.

Dangote Cement attributed the stellar performance to strong market demand, cost management, and the commissioning of a new 3Mta grinding plant in Côte d’Ivoire, which expanded its total installed capacity to 55Mta across Africa.

Commenting on the results, Arvind Pathak, Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Cement, said the new Côte d’Ivoire plant “marks a significant milestone in our growth journey” and “strengthens our position as Africa’s leading cement producer.”

Pathak explained that the company’s efficiency programs and improved energy mix in Nigeria reduced cash costs, while exports from the country increased by 23 percent, with 27 clinker shipments sent to Ghana and Cameroon.

He further highlighted ongoing sustainability initiatives, including the rollout of 1,600 CNG-powered trucks to lower logistics costs and carbon emissions, and progress on the Itori Integrated Plant, expected to further boost domestic capacity and export potential.

“Our focus remains on sustaining earnings momentum, enhancing operational efficiency, and executing our long-term growth strategy,” Pathak added. “With a strong balance sheet, we are well-positioned to continue delivering superior value to stakeholders.”

Earlier in 2025, the company reported record results for the first half of the year, with revenue up 17.7 percent to ₦2,071.6 billion and profit after tax rising 174.1 percent to ₦520.5 billion.

Dangote Cement remains Africa’s largest cement producer, operating an integrated quarry-to-customer model with a 35.25Mta capacity in Nigeria and additional plants in Cameroon, Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Congo, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Through continued expansion and investment, the company has successfully positioned Nigeria as a net exporter of cement and clinker, reinforcing its leadership in Africa’s industrial transformation.
