Nollywood star and producer Funke Akindele has ushered in the festive season with the release of a vibrant Christmas song titled Everybody Loves Christmas. The song’s official video features a galaxy of Nigerian entertainment heavyweights, bringing together music, humor, and dance in a heartwarming celebration of the yuletide spirit.
A Star-Studded Cast
The video opens with Bisola Aiyeola, who sets the festive tone with the lines:
“Christmas, my favorite time of the year, the time of the year when the jollof is always sweeter and the chicken always bigger.”
Joining her is industry legend Jide Kosoko, who stars as Father Christmas, and Patience Ozokwo, dazzling with her signature Mama G dance moves. Waje lends her powerful vocals to the track, while Layi Wasabi adds a touch of humor with his witty banter.
Nancy Isime, draped in a stunning green outfit, chimes in melodiously, singing, “The reason for the season is the loving and the giving…” Funke Akindele and comedienne Omotunde Adebowale (popularly known as Adaku) bring Yoruba flair to the mix, while Dbanj energizes the set with a rap performance and gift distribution to children.
Lateef Adedimeji captivates with his vibrant singing and dancing, and Falz rounds it off with his smooth-talking rap, sending shout-outs to parents everywhere.
