The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise will be held on Saturday, June 28.
In a statement issued Sunday, the examination body said the special exercise would cater to 96,838 candidates, including 5,096 spill-over candidates and those who failed biometric verification during the main examination.
JAMB added that 91,742 additional candidates, who were absent from either the main UTME or the rescheduled examination, will also be allowed to participate under a special concession. However, it clarified that the opportunity applies exclusively to the 2025 examination cycle.
“The 2025 UTME mop-up examination has been scheduled for Saturday, June 28. This will accommodate 5,096 spill-over candidates and those who could not undergo biometric verification during the main exercise,” the statement read.
“Additionally, 91,742 absentee candidates from both the main and resit examinations have been granted a special dispensation to participate. Thus, a total of 96,838 candidates are being rescheduled across 183 centres nationwide, with others placed on standby.”
JAMB also announced that candidates can begin printing their examination notification slips from Monday, June 23, to confirm their assigned centres, dates, and times.
The board urged candidates to closely monitor its official platforms for updates and to adhere strictly to examination guidelines.
