The NNPC Academy has been awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification by global certification body DQS, in recognition of its commitment to excellence, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement.
The certification was formally received by the Executive Vice President, Business Services, Sophia Mbakwe, from the Academy’s Director, Folashade Adekeye, during a presentation held at the NNPC Towers in Abuja on Monday.
The milestone signifies that the Academy has successfully established, implemented, and maintained a management system aligned with global quality standards across its processes and service delivery. The certification followed a rigorous assessment process, including documentation reviews, internal audits, management evaluations, and corrective action procedures.
As part of the certification exercise, members of the NNPC Academy ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System project team, led by Project Manager Tongkhir Dewan, also received Lead Auditor Certificates after completing accredited training.
The development is expected to further strengthen the Academy’s role as a centre for learning, capacity development, and human capital management, supporting the workforce needs of NNPC Limited and broader national energy objectives.
