The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, has been honoured with the Vanguard Newspapers’ 2025 Energy Innovation and Reform Icon of the Year Award in recognition of his contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector.
The award was received on his behalf by the company’s Executive Vice President, Business Services, Sophia Mbakwe, at a ceremony held in Lagos on Friday.
Mbakwe accepted the award from the Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria, Ayodeji Adelagun, in the presence of the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., Andy Odeh.
According to Vanguard Media Limited, the recognition reflects Ojulari’s impactful leadership at NNPC Limited, particularly in driving strategic reforms, enhancing operational performance, strengthening corporate governance, and promoting value-driven innovation aimed at transforming Nigeria’s energy landscape.
