Sanlam Investments has confirmed its return as the headline sponsor of the 2026 Africa’s Green Economy Summit (AGES) for the third consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to mobilising global capital for Africa’s sustainable future. The summit will be held in Cape Town from 24 to 27 February 2026.
Now in its fourth year, AGES aims to accelerate Africa’s transition to a just and inclusive green economy by connecting global investors with projects across renewable energy, green transport, water, waste, sustainable agriculture, green buildings, the blue economy, and climate tech. To date, the summit has showcased over 90 investment-ready initiatives worth more than US$8.7 billion, spanning entrepreneurial start-ups to national-scale infrastructure projects.
Carl Roothman, CEO of Sanlam Investment Group, said the company’s philosophy of “holistic return” measures success not just financially but by the positive social and environmental impact. “Through platforms like AGES, we back businesses that create jobs, scale renewable energy, and fund critical infrastructure in Africa,” Roothman said.
AGES 2026 will feature over 40 investment-ready projects across two dedicated pitch stages. The summit’s investor-driven format includes roundtables, deal rooms, and curated matchmaking with development finance institutions, venture capital funds, banks, and asset managers. Nature and biodiversity finance will also be highlighted, reflecting the growing market for biodiversity credits and nature-based solutions.
