Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, on his 70th birthday.
Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, described Alake as a respected journalist, communication strategist and administrator who has become a role model in the media, politics and governance.
The governor said Alake, who served as Lagos Commissioner for Information and Strategy from 1999 to 2007, had demonstrated integrity and made significant contributions to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria.
He also commended the minister for his contributions to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly through reforms and initiatives in the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.
“On behalf of my family, the Government and the people of Lagos State, I congratulate the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Mr. Dele Alake, on his 70th birthday.
“Mr. Dele Alake deserves accolades at 70 for his remarkable contributions and positive impact on the media industry, political activism, Lagos State and Nigeria,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The governor prayed for Alake’s continued good health and strength to enable him to contribute further to humanity and national development.
