Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has felicitated his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, on the occasion of his 61st birthday, describing him as a dedicated public servant and dependable partner in governance.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu praised Hamzat for his long years of meritorious service to Lagos State and Nigeria, noting that his contributions have been pivotal to the success of the current administration.
The governor described his deputy as “a team player, seasoned technocrat, brilliant administrator and a trusted ally” whose passion for the growth and development of Lagos has yielded visible dividends of democracy.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, as well as the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), I celebrate my dear brother, friend and reliable partner on his 61st birthday,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He added that Hamzat’s commitment to public service and excellence continues to inspire many, stressing that his loyalty, hard work and support have been central to the mission of building a Greater Lagos.
“As Deputy Governor, Dr. Hamzat’s dedication and excellence have been pivotal in our journey. He is an administrator par excellence, a seasoned technocrat and politician, supportive, trustworthy and a committed partner,” he said.
Sanwo-Olu prayed for many more years of good health, wisdom and success for his deputy, wishing him continued strength to serve Lagos and Nigeria.
