Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated former Deputy Governor of the state and member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan, on her 70th birthday.

Princess Sosan, an educationist who served as deputy governor under former Governor Babatunde Fashola from 2007 to 2011, turned 70 on February 11.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu described Sosan as a devoted and visionary leader who contributed significantly to the development of Lagos State.

He noted that during her tenure as deputy governor, she worked closely with Fashola and members of the State Executive Council to position Lagos as a model for other states in Nigeria.

The governor also commended her longstanding contributions to the education sector, highlighting her service as a teacher, administrator and board member in the Ministry of Education for over two decades prior to her elevation to deputy governor.

“On behalf of my wife, family, the government and people of Lagos State, as well as leaders and members of the Governance Advisory Council and the All Progressives Congress, I congratulate Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan on her 70th birthday,” the statement read.

Sanwo-Olu described her as a committed progressive who has remained steadfast in promoting good governance and supporting the ideals of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at various levels.

He prayed for good health and renewed strength for the former deputy governor as she continues to serve humanity, Lagos State and Nigeria.
