The office of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has dismissed reports suggesting a rift between him and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.
In a statement, the governor’s office described the claims circulating on online platforms and blogs as false, emphasizing that any perceived disagreement exists “only in the imagination of purveyors of fake news and agents of disunity.”
The statement highlighted that the relationship between the two governors remains “warm, cordial, and brotherly,” noting that they meet regularly and communicate frequently on matters concerning the development of their states.
Both Lagos and Ogun states share common boundaries and strong socio-cultural ties, the office added.
The statement concluded by urging those spreading false narratives to desist, stressing that Governors Abiodun and Sanwo-Olu are united in their commitment to improving the lives of their people.
