Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has congratulated business magnate and philanthropist, Sir Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu, on his 90th birthday, describing him as a national treasure and exemplary leader whose life has been marked by service and generosity.
Sanwo-Olu, who attended the celebratory reception held at Eko Hotels and Suites on Friday, joined family members, friends, and dignitaries from across Nigeria, including residents of Adebutu’s hometown, Iperu-Remo in Ogun State, to honour the Chairman of Premier Lotto.
Speaking at the event, the Lagos Governor — who also chairs the South-West Governors Forum — praised Sir Adebutu for his remarkable contributions to business, philanthropy, and community development.
He said, “On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I felicitate business mogul and renowned philanthropist, Sir Kessington Adebutu, on his 90th birthday. He has impacted countless lives, given hope to millions, and contributed immensely to Nigeria’s economy by creating jobs and sustaining livelihoods.”
Sanwo-Olu described the celebrant as a respected elder statesman and role model whose legacy spans enterprise, faith, sports, and social development.
“Sir Adebutu has inspired generations through his dedication to hard work, service, and integrity. His efforts have strengthened democracy, promoted good governance, and fostered unity and peace across Nigeria,” the Governor added.
Wishing him continued good health and fulfillment, Sanwo-Olu prayed that God would grant the Premier Lotto chairman more years of impactful service to humanity.
