Shakira has teased the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup 2026 with the release of a short promotional video filmed at Brazil’s iconic Maracanã Stadium.
The Colombian pop star, who previously recorded the 2010 World Cup anthem Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), announced the new track titled Dai Dai on her social media platforms.
The song, produced in collaboration with Burna Boy, is scheduled for official release on May 14.
In the 67-second teaser video, Shakira is seen performing on the pitch of Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro while holding the “Trionda,” the official match ball for the 2026 tournament.
The singer performed excerpts of the song in English alongside dancers dressed in the colours of several national teams, including the United States and Colombia.
The clip, which was also shared on the official FIFA World Cup social media account, concludes with the message: “We’re ready!”
Shakira recently performed at a free concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, which reportedly attracted about two million people.
The singer has maintained a long-standing connection with the World Cup, having performed during the 2006 and 2014 World Cup finals in addition to producing the widely acclaimed “Waka Waka” anthem for the 2010 tournament.
