Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured Nigerians that the current challenges are temporary and expressed optimism about the nation’s future under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In his Easter message, Shettima said the holiday symbolizes resilience, faith, and hope, noting that “Easter is a reminder that history often bends in favour of those who refuse to surrender to despair. It is the story of light piercing through darkness, of hope rising from the shadows of pain, and of faith prevailing over fear.”
He reiterated the administration’s commitment to peace, economic recovery, and long-term prosperity, emphasizing that national renewal requires collective resolve and sacrifice.
Shettima urged Nigerians to remain united and support ongoing reforms, stressing that patience, endurance, and shared purpose are essential for overcoming current economic and security challenges. He also highlighted the importance of embracing the nation’s diversity as a source of strength.
“By our collective will, shared sacrifice, and abiding faith in the promise of this nation, we shall triumph over whatever challenges beset us momentarily,” he said, calling on citizens to reject division and uphold values that bind the country together.
